Waiting for the cam



Spoke to Wade Cams today, the cam I sent needs two lobes repairing with hard facing then the regrind followed by tuftriding if required..

Not going to see it for at least 10 days... the Stag will have to continue on baby duties

Hope it's not longer than that! I'm surprised at the wear you've seen...it will be interesting to see how the engine lasts once you have it back together...keep us informed!

I guess the issue was using old components.. me trying to do things on the cheap!!!

All the wear was pistons and cam related.... both were old although they looked and measured fine.

Now using new bits... looking for at least 100k miles out of this engine before I lift the head again!!
